Overview & Applications
EQUASCAN is the intelligent automated meter reading (AMR/AMI) platform developed by Itron for the wireless remote monitoring of heat cost allocators, thermal energy meters, and water meters in residential and commercial complexes.
Using 868 MHz Wireless M-Bus OMS protocols, EQUASCAN collects consumption data via mobile walk-by reading equipment or fixed network master gateways connected via cellular LTE to the central billing software.
It eliminates manual readings, reduces administrative disputes, and provides building managers with automated monthly consumption reports.
