Overview & Applications
The WM-E2S is a 4G LTE cellular communication modem (with automatic 2G/3G fallback and LTE Cat.M1 options) developed specifically for remote meter reading of Itron polyphase electricity meters.
Engineered for clean and rapid installation, it can be housed directly underneath the meter's terminal cover or mounted as an external modem on a 35 mm DIN rail via adapter bracket. It is powered by DC voltage (8–16 V DC, typically 10 V DC) directly from the meter's serial RJ45 port, requiring no auxiliary power supplies or external transformers.
