T-Mod Protocol Converter

The T-Mod conversion module is engineered to interface Itron SL7000 electricity meters via their RS-485 serial user port directly to a Modbus industrial network (RTU or TCP). Depending on the hardware version selected, it enables data reading from 1 or 2 meters.

Meter communication complies strictly with standard IEC 62056-21 (formerly IEC 1107) at 19,200 baud. The module queries the meter and mirrors OBIS registers into standard Modbus registers without altering metrological data.

Providing transparent integration with SCADA, PLC, and building management systems, T-Mod delivers real-time access to active and reactive energy registers, load profiles, and status flags.
